Well, the voting is pretty decisive - a landslide victory for the ALP. So, say goodbye to any remaining notions of freedom and liberty you may be holding on to - it's time for Rudd to turn all the little children into good Labor-voting clones through his systems of compulsory national education and poor economic management.
On a plus note, i did get just under 0.5% of the primary vote in Page (the LDP managed 0.11% nationally), so thanks very much to everyone who voted for me! Take it from me, you're fucking awesome.

Last day before voting!
As will appear in the Northern Star and The Daily Examiner on Saturday morning:
The Liberty & Democracy Party has been accused of a lot of things. We've been accused of being racist, because we don't care what your skin colour is; we've been accused of being sexist, because we don't care what your gender is; and we've been accused of homophobia, because we don't care what your sexual preferences are.
The truth is, we don't care who you are or what choices you make in your private life, because we respect your right to make those choices, and to live your life how you see fit. As long as you're not hurting anyone else, it's not the Government's, or anybody else's, business what you do.
When you do to vote in this election, you may think you have 10 candidates to choose between, but you don't. The vast majority of candidates available to you stand for one thing – the status quo of telling you what to do. The only Party that represents true change is the LDP. We're the only ones who trust you to make the right choices in your life, and I trust you'll make the right choice this election.
Vote 1 for Benj Beatty and the Liberty & Democracy Party.

Day ?
Christ, it's only 3 days to the election, and I haven't posted in a long time. Apologies to all for that, unfortunately my job suddenly knocked it up a notch; I haven't had a full day off in three weeks and I'm told today is Thursday, but I'm relying on third parties for that info :)
On the campaign trail, it's still going well, though. The Clarence Valley Review is running another piece on me in this week's paper, and the Northern Star made a short mention on my stance on ending the ban on nuclear power.
2GF should also be covering the nuclear issue in tomorrow's morning headlines, so keep it tuned in to hear that.
On a disappointing note, I haven't been to any candidate's forum, not through lack of time or interest on my part, but because I haven't usually heard about them until after the time. Oh, well, there's always next time.
Remember to vote 1 for Benj in Page!

Day 3
Grafton's Daily Examiner ran this nice profile piece today.
Also in Grafton, 2GF ran this spot three times during their Thursday morning program, at 6.30am, 7.30am and 8.30am. Listen to a recording of the 7.30am version by clicking here.
Apologies for the poor sound quality, but I'm not a sound engineer :)
